Hi, our cummins mechanic in Belgium told us that if the engines run well and smooth we don’t need to check the injectors and said: when everything is going fine , start trying to remove the injectors could be worse….. What do you think? 6bta 330 1000h 20 years old…Ā

    Thank you

Yes, the bayliner dealer where we bought the boat is also a very good mechanic and change parts that really need to. He change the belts when it is necessary and not with the engines hours… One good thing is that he cleaned the heat exchanger last season, it was really necessary…I touch wood, the engines have been trouble free since new.

You are lucky in that you have a mechanic that is not trying to sell you a bill of goods. Ā He is correct, let them be. Ā Just feed them “clean and waterless” fuel.
