Don’t know if you are still here but you should be able to get manuals and parts book from Cummins. Ā  Ā  Have your engine serial numbers at hand. Ā You may have to wait a time for them but get them ordered.

It’s not the best site as far as “ease of usability” but you should be able to get it sorted out…

    Zincs in Fresh Water

Years back I looked into purchasing a boat from Lake Michigan so I did a bunch of reading about zincs in freshwater. Ā Well that was an “all over the place” topic. Here’s a good info link:

    Engine Dataplates & QuickServe

Here’s the engine dataplate info. Ā You should register your ESN’s on Quickserve and browse around there.

Thanks for getting back to me.I am overseas at the moment I will get more detailed pictures when I return in two weeks. Ā No I didn’t get any info from PO The sea Trail went well. I want to look into the aftercoolers what brand do I have Ā and sea water pumps what brand. Change out all the zincs boat will be in fresh water. Check exhaust. Seacocks and strainers. Change out all hoses. Check out turbos. Really need to know what motors I have as far as HP Some tell me they are 6BTA’S I know that but some say M/M1/M2 one of these dont know what they mean. I gave you my Engine numbers was hoping you could shed the light a little more. Are there any parts manual on them. Greatly appreciated

    Baseline?

    Hello Darrell,

“Some Maintenance” is a vast topic. Ā Do you have anything real from prior owner as to how she sits now so you can prioritize your plan of attack?

    Handwritten Logs orĀ Receipts?

A DIY owner would likely have the written logs and maybe some receipts and/or photos to document his work. Ā If the services were paid for then there should be receipts from vendors. Ā If it was simply what they “told you” that IMO holds zero value.

Any chance the pictures could be reposted in a higher resolution?

So give us a little more as to what you have and we can go from there..

(BTW, I corrected your 5.0/5.9 typo in the subject line and removed your edit reply. Ā Just keeps things cleaner for future searches and readability.)
