    Have a new riser/ water mixer being made. Should the connection be dry or a a mastic used. Should the cap screws be replaced with studs (the screws were rusted to the point of no usable head left).

    PO used jb weld on riser. Survey missed because blanket covered. All mechanics busy w/ existing customers. Thnks for your help.

    If surfaces are good, this is all you need as to the gasket and install it dry. These bolts are what you need as well. Use some anti-seize on the bolts. As to the old bolts rusting away – sounds like too little too late as to needed PM…..
