    3 month old 19 SI alternator 105 amp on a qsb 5.9. Alternator on port side does not have an output until the engine reaches 1200 RPM.

    I’m sure someone has dealt with this before, any input on how to correct the issue?

    Issue is only on the port side, starboard side puts out 13.7 V at 600 RPM

    Tony I can get pictures when I get down to the boat next time.

    The excite wire (1) isn’t wired to anything. The sensing wire (2) is wired back to the + on the alternator.

    This is how the arrangement was before replacing the alternator.

    Look at these 2 pictures.. Post a clear picture similar to one or both or them…..Let’s see how you are wired..
