Hi everyone! I need to buy 2 alternators locally to  replace my existing 6CTA alternators that were externally regulated but were not working (Delco 10D). I would like to get a 24SI or 28SI 160A versions if possible and have sourced them locally but was told that these are CW (clockwise) rotation and I believe that 6CTA are counterclockwise when facing the flywheel? Does anyone know if I need to but a counterclockwise alternator or would a clockwise work? I know that people have used 24si and 28SI on these engines but I cant find any specific model that is counterclockwise…

If you have stock alternator mounting on your engines, then that will spin the alternator CW.. MANY alternators to not matter which way they spin. Every 24 & 28SI I have see or bought turn CW– We stock both in 160-200A..

Nevermind! counterclockwise at the flywheel = clockwise at the belt…
