Replacing both my 6BTA 330’s with 6BT 210’s (long story), but the new Cummins supplied 6BT’s come with an 8 pin engine wiring loom plug and my 20 year old 6BTA’s have a 16 pin round plug (with 13 wires) running into the boats main wiring loom.

Is there an adapter of some kind that takes it from an 16 pin round to an 8 pin flat plug to suit the new engines ?

Separate temp/psi switches are aftermarket, boatbuilder, etc, not Cummins.

Thanks Tony, appreciate your help. Does the factory 6BT have seperate sensors/switches for for the oil and temp alarms in addition to the senders. My 6BTA 330’s have a sender and an alarm switch for both oil and temp. The pictures that I’ve seen of the 6BT they don’t seem to have the two additional alarm switches screwed into the engines. My current garages are VDO. It’s a 2001 Riviera 3350 FB.

No adapter –You need to sort it out “hands-on”.. Sounds like your old engines have OEM wiring ( not Cummins supplied) and make also have totally different senders, instruments, etc.. …..All, doable but plan on some serious time sorting it all out & scratching your head.

If your 6BT’s are true “factory”, they were set up for VDO panels/alarms etc— wiring diagrams and pics are on the web site
