    How do I test the O/S function of my engine protection system. Remember that this engine is coupled to an alternator that cannot be spun to higher RPM that the engine can.

    No clue what you are asking———Dumb the question down a bit for an old dude like me….

    Is this aux unit on some kind of “classed vessel”?..

    Tell us more about the application and the engine–This would not be a “modern engine” ?
