I need to change my transmission oil on my twin Cummins 5.9 engines. I have the quick drain feature.

    Questions:

What is the capacity for transmission fluid?

What type of fluid do I need, is ATF from auto parts store ok?

What other items should I be checking, is there a filter/strainer I need to check?

Is it easy as it sounds, just drain and refill?

Depends on the transmission, do you have photo of nameplate?

My 1999 6BTA with ZF-80A takes 5.5 litres each, ATF Dexron III, replace every 250 hrs or once per year with Filter #3312-199-031.

With the quick drain feature it easy, getting to the filter is another story.  SBMar has video on how to install.
