    • QSC 8.3 Engine Block Heaters – Voltage?

December 27, 2021 at 2:00 pm Hello!Ā  I have two QSC 8.3 engines and am seeing repeated failures of the block heaters.Ā  Tehy are wired to the 240 Volt side of my panel on my boat.Ā  If I look up the part numbers online, the images all show 120 Volt plugs.Ā  I wonder if the boat OEM made a mistake…does anyone know (of can point me to the spec) the voltage spec on the Block Heaters?Ā Ā  3905114 – Cable<br />4935058 – Heater, Engine THANK YOU!

July 20, 2019 at 3:24 am Hi! I have just had the experience of running (or actually my dad run it) my Zeus 3000 pods aground and I’m looking for some experience from other doing the same on what to expect from repairs. The port pod where hit 5 knots almost above the skeg. This resulted in the skeg being lost, one propeller damaged, the flap piston being broken off but most severe – the boat started to leak a lot due to that the pods moved in it fittings arou…

    • Kinked wire reinforced hose

This topic has 3 replies, has 3 voices, and was last updated byRob Schepis 2 years ago

December 21, 2021 at 9:50 am After I serviced my aftercoolers I had to kink and bend the wire reinforced hose that runs from the raw water pump to the aftercooler in order to get it over the nipple. Once it was on it was nice and straight but I’m worried that kinking the hose caused damage. Is this a problem or can this kind of hose tolerate a kink?

December 26, 2021 at 7:59 am No way to tell without hose in hand. It’s cheap and easy, just change it out with a non-wire high quality marine hose such as the Shields 200 series. No need for wire reinforced there.

December 24, 2021 at 3:59 am Thanks. Iā€™ve visually checked the wiring but nothing obvious sticks out. Is it possible that this code needs to be cleared with an interface? I say that because the fault will come on with the key turned to on without the engine running. So it wouldnā€™t be reading actual crankcase pressure at that point.
