QSB6.7 Warranty Period

July 20, 2020 at 12:37 pm I had QSB6.7 550’s installed in 2018. i am past 2 years from when Cummins did the “start up”. When I read the warranty paperwork it says the in service date is: The in-service date is defined as 1) the date of the initial delivery of the Engine to the first end user (through purchase, lease, or loan), or 2) the date when 200 hours of operation for Quantum Series Engines (QSB5.9/ QSB6.7/QSC8.3/QSL9/QSM11/X15) have accumlulated…
1 ReplyJuly 20, 2020 at 2:21 pm the 200 hour clause is there for new boats in dealer inventory. they may put up to 200 hours demonstrating to prospective buyers. once you took delivery of your boat the warranty was in force. Unless the dealer never entered the in service date and is willing to Lie to Cummins on your behalf.

April 30, 2018 at 7:29 am I hooked up my Vessel View 4 gauges to my NMEA network trying to get my engine data to read out onto my Garmin 7610. My boat was just repowered with twin Cummins QSB 6.7 and two Vessel View 4 dispalys. One display reads out the port motor and the other reads out the starboard. When I hook it up to the NMEA network both VV4’s are showing up on the network, plus one Mercury Smartcraft Gateway. When I try to get the Garmin to ouput the engine…
