I had QSB6.7 550’s installed in 2018. i am past 2 years from when Cummins did the “start up”. When I read the warranty paperwork it says the in service date is:

The in-service date is defined as 1) the date of the initial delivery of the Engine to the first end user (through purchase, lease, or loan), or 2) the date when 200 hours of operation for Quantum Series Engines (QSB5.9/ QSB6.7/QSC8.3/QSL9/QSM11/X15) have accumlulated.

I have yet to hit 200 hours on my engines yet. Does that mean the 2 year/6 year warranty period hasn’t started ticking away yet?

    in service date

the 200 hour clause is there for new boats in dealer inventory. they may put up to 200 hours demonstrating to prospective buyers. once you took delivery of your boat the warranty was in force. Unless the dealer never entered the in service date and is willing to Lie to Cummins on your behalf.
