6BT or 6BTA- Dyer 29

January 21, 2020 at 5:39 am I have a 29′ Dyer 29 foot with a Cummins 4BT 150 hp installed- about 2000 hrs. The boat is underpowered, especially when loaded. I am sending it back to the builder to have the tanks replaced and a repowered Cummins installed. The builder is recommending a 6BT (210 HP), while I’m thinking a 6BTA (250 HP) would be better. Any suggestions? Thanks Greg
