      April 16, 2017 at 5:44 pm I have a failed MG-5075SC behind a 6BTA. Ā Considering a rebuild of the existing unit, however am also considering a conversion to a comparable ZF. Ā  Any insights or recommendations? Ā  Unit drives a Doen 105 jet and is 1:1 ratio. Ā One item that is driving the conversion question is the apparent damage to the Twin Disc – lots of metal in the oil and strainer following a low oil condition due to seal failure – may or may not be rebuilda…

      October 21, 2017 at 4:40 pm You don’t screw around.. You needed to get it done and you did.. Good for you.. Not that it matters now, but for the 5075 to fail at such early hours and then looking at the pics says volumes–The gear was installed with some type of interference on the input applying thrust pressure on the gears input shaft–Not a fault of the gear–A Lousy mechanic put it together.. Anyway, seems all is good now.. Tony
