      September 3, 2018 at 2:55 am HI everyone, I am pretty much new to power boating; so you can guess I do not know much about engines and instrumentation. Everything was running smoothly until I had my engines serviced. When I start them the RPM tachometer for one engine fluctuates wildly from 600 to 2000 RPM, also under load. The engine runs fine. I have ruled out a faulty tachometer because the one in the boat and the one on the flybridge are doing the same thing. Has anyb…

      September 3, 2018 at 12:06 pm What you have that sends the signal to the tach is either faulty, needs to be reset, or has a bad wire connection.. Most likely you have a magnetic pickup??..
