August 12, 2019 at 3:21 am I have the 1998 Diamond 450’s with the blue metal expansion tank. During my routine checks below, I noticed the black hose from the plastic overflow tank, was disconnected from the fitting just under the cap on the expansion tank. Upon closer inspection, the metal hose fitting was broken off. With some Rescue tape, I was able to keep it in place and ended up with a small leak for the ride home. What is the recommended fix?

January 27, 2020 at 5:50 pm Logan, Unless your are an extremely competent and experienced guy with soldering, this is a very difficult piece to install…………………..You are dealing with thin brass and 14 Gauge steel sheet with many lbs of mass vs. 1-2 ounces of thin brass. Solder– 95-5 would be my choice.

Both tanks 175 gallon capacity. Ran out of gas on port side engine, even though fuel gauge showed little over 1/4 tank. Generator is off port side as well. Starboard side showed little less than 1/2 tank. Added 10 gallons to port side tank to get to fuel pumps. Port side tank fills up with 108 g…

August 14, 2019 at 2:00 pm Sounds like you should have had adequate usable fuel – I would pull the tanks pick up tubes and inspect them.
