      February 16, 2018 at 9:36 am As a word of caution to all who are servicing your heat exchangers, the housings have been dipped in some black coating. I would think this is an attempt to help stop corrosion between the dissimilar metals (Brass and Aluminum) and may very well help. The caution here is after you pull the cores out, do not be abusive in cleaning your housing, do not dip in acid bath, do not pressure wash, steam clean, inside or out, you will knock off this prot…

      March 7, 2018 at 10:49 pm Tony I believe you are talking about after coolers, while I’m talking about heat exchangers, my after coolers do not have this coating inside, just straight aluminum housing. P.S. starting to get everybody around here to use that meta lube you suggest when putting their after coolers back together .
