Expansion tank possible leak.
This topic has 4 replies, has 3 voices, and was last updated by 5 years ago
March 15, 2019 at 12:53 pm I have an expansion tank for my 2001 Cummins 6BTA. It appears to be leaking as I see coolant dripping from a few different areas. I want to verify if it needs replacing. Something is not right. I assume this can be tested? Recommendations? I also purchased a new radiator cap. (15 lbs ) Would a radiator shop be the best solution or can I test it myself? Thanks for your time. Ron

Maybe a new cap 12-15 PSI ?—–Use a premium Stant or Cummins. Look closely at the brass filler neck for any nicks on the top sealing surface. Tony
