    Can someone confirm the oil capacity of the ZF286IV with Oil Cooler? The manual says 5.3-6(dm3). Thank you!

    Thank you and that was the first time I’ve seen that measurement. I found a convertor on Google and looks like about 1.5 gallons.

    In case it is not clear, the term “dm3” is just a different name for “liter”.

    No problems, I haven’t changed the oil and I’m preparing to. I just need to know how much to buy.

    Are you running into trouble as to refilling and getting the expected reading on the stick?

    ZF Transmissions — Oil level checking

    Probably in the 6 quart range–You have to uses the dip stick .. Keep it in the middle of the markings..
