Zeus – adding a Second Joystick

My main helm joystick is great however I have no visibility of back corners of boat nor can I get my head out the slim window opening on our Riviera 4400 [Wife has already done those jokes] Any idea how difficult and cost involved in installing a second joystick in the cockpit?   Would be a 5m run and relatively easy to get cables through Have just been quote $18,000 AUD / USD$11,350 for a Dockmate Thanks Harvey

A different option

What about a rear facing camera that is connected to one of your Multi Function Displays?  If you do some searching and reading on this site about Zeus and the joystick, you might look at something a little lower tech and more reliable.  Mount it on the center line of your hardtop looking aft and you can see what you need to see.  You will still need to move yourself from the helm to the aft deck to handle lines but you are doing that now I bet.  If your goal is to see better when you are docking, a remote camera might be a decent option.  The other thing my wife and I swear by are bluetooth headsets.  We are able to talk to each other without regard to our physical orientation.  No more yelling/shouting.  We bought the Eartech UL25 back in 2021.  Makes docking and communicating infinitely better.  Tons of other options out there.
