    1. Received an aftermarket same as OEM starter from SB Mar and there is an additional plug not on my original starter. 2004 6cta 8.3 480CE. Picture below.  Bottom at rear of starter, black around 7 o’clock. Thanks

    If you are talking about the plastic plus beneath the Main POS connection, ignore it. It’s a thingee for a smart start feature in on-highway applications

    Hi Tony,

     

    No I have not found an answer to what the additional plug does, starter is not installed yet. Any info would be helpful.
