Engines are 370 diamonds that were set up as a dual station. I used these engines to repower my vessel changed the oil senders/alarm but wanted to see how the temperature and high temp  alarm sender functioned before switching out. Ran the vessel in February with  mid 30 degree water temps at 2300 and water temperature gauge read close to 200 heat gun at head read 160’s fast fwd to now and by the time I ran  them up to 2000 temp gauge pegs high temperature alarm goes off check with heat gun at head and temps all good so then 164-169 after checked temp with heat gun when pushed back up to 2000rpm. So I believe this to be the result of temp alarm and temp gauge dual station sender not single. So I was gifted a brand new set of single station senders for the engines so upon trying to install couple of issues. First I am using a Cole hearse idiot light/buzzer for low oil /high temp and the oringinal VDO gauges. when I went to remove the high temp sender it was a very low profile the spades for connection started right where you put the wrench on it which allowed the temp sender to go into the T which had the highest point in coolant system to help with getting air out (what I was told for it being not original) . I can put the gauge sender in but the temp alarm sender will not allow  for the installation of the new single station alarm as the hight will interfere. How has the been resolved by other or information on where to get the low profile original sender for single station?? the picture shows the original set what senders can I use to replicate this without fit interference for a sender to power ado gauge and a temp alarm that functions with a Cole hearse close ground system? thank you in advance for help

    Oil senders placement

If your engines have the standard combo block it has 3 places where oil senders and switches can be mounted without using a “T”..

two standard ones and a third that requires an adapter to allow standard 1/8” threads. Should have plenty of room. <br />I have two stations and a non- standard digital multi gauge that uses single station senders. So I use all three ports – 1 Dual station, 1 Single station, and a low pressure switch. No problems.

Dual station senders will not work with a single station set-up.. All the info you need in in “Tony’s tips” and all references factory supplied VDO gauges
