    Centa CF-DS Coupling

If there is zero damage to any of the aluminum /metal parts, your best option is to send the unit to Centa to have it rebuilt– Typically Under $500.. A new unit is available, but it’s over $1500.

FYI–None of them will last “forever”.. 5000 hours is above average.

Twin Disc MG 5075 Torsional Coupling

    Thanks Tony
After cleaning the starboard tag and looking at the original survey from 2006 the Number on the survey is 5JA847 it might be 5JP 847 very hard to tell it is done by a hand engraver
the serial number is correct S14299
i would probley go with the Survey number as it most likely cleaner then only one year old
let me know if this works

Twin Disc MG 5075 Torsional Coupling

This just came back from Twin Disc.. I am think you gave me a bad number?

    MG5075

BOM S12671 Serial # 5JK897 ā€“ Serial number matched BOM.

    BOM S14299 Serial # 5JK847 ā€“ Serial number does not match BOM. S/N 5JK847 refers to BOM S8875 which is a MG5061A

Lets double check the data tag..

Twin Disc MG 5075 Torsional Coupling

Room needed to R&R the coupling–You might get lucky with 5 inches??

I just dropped a note to Twin Disc–let’s see what & when they come back to me.

    what coupling

Tony Thanks fro the fast reply Port Trany BOM S12671 Serial # 5JK897
    Starboard Trany BOM S14299 Serial # 5JK847
    Both are 2.53 Ratios
    Hope this helps
Can you tell me how much clearance I would need moving the trany back or engine forward to seek in between to get the coupler unbolted with out having to remove anything from the boat engine room is a bit tight. looks like I could get about 4-6 inches space with out tooo much work
    Thanks
I guess I know what I am doing fro Labor day weekend this Year

    What MG5075 coupling

    Larry,

On your data tag you have a BOM.. Post the number and that will give me a start to whether I can get you an answer………………..Unfortunately, there are not less than 3 possibilities for that gear and Twin Disc records are less than perfect that way..

If you take it apart and post pics of both sides, then life is easy for me to tell you what you need…

    Tony
