Strange SMX Turbocator gauge readings

I’ve got a set of SMX Turbocator gauges on the 1969 Chris Craft Roamer I’ve been refitting. In preparation for finally launching the boat, I test fired the engines recently. I’m still on the hard, with no raw water source, so I removed the impellers and only ran the engines for ~10 seconds. Ever since, one of the gauges has the EGT needle sitting at ~800 all the time. The other gauge is at the low pin, where the other one used to be. I disconnected the pyrometer connected to the high reading gauge, but the needle stayed at 800.

Is this normal?

Since I got no responses here, I contacted Isspro directly. Don (their tech) immediately acknowledged that there’s a problem with the gauge, and a new replacement is on the way. Unfortunately, that means I have to tear my dashboard apart to return the new and defective Turbocator.

Let’s see if the photo attachment feature works this time…

So try the pic again.     Have you resolved  the 800degree problem?

Have you disconnected the thermocouple from the guage,   If not then do so and see what happens.   If the needle goes back to zero then the thermocouple or its wiring  may be a problem.
