I am looking for info on depth transducer installation on a smartcraft diesel view with QSC 500’s. The transducer I received from Mercury is for older 8.3 engines with a flat 4 pin connector that is labeled to connect to the diagnostic port. The QSC has a round port. There is a transducer connector on the Medusa harness which does not work even if connected to 12V.
Does anyone have any opinions on how or even if this can be done?
These are version 1 vessel views installed from the factory but the depth was not used.

    Thanks for the reply.
I know they are outdated but they still work so I would like to put off replacement until needed!

    Dave,

You are not going to like my answer,BUT, it is what it is……………………………… Basically, “SmartCrap” is no longer supported, on this particular issue & subject, I cannot provide anything from my past involvement with the system…………….Dieselview is “ancient history” with both Cummins and Mercury..

This is just one more reason why we walked away years ago and went SAE J-1939 protocol many yrs ago..

Do some independent research, as best you can through GOOGLE..
