    Hi All,

Doing some clean up work on the electrical system and want to change these relays image attached) proactively, for obvious reasons. I went through the store and didn’t see them. Hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

I have found two on the starboard behind the aftercooler and one on the port forward of the starter. How many are there total, and does anyone have a good PN?

    Thx in advance!
    Kevin

    Found in engine components, starters…:

Marine Magnetic Switch / Starter Solenoid

My 6CTA8.3 parts manual shows the relay as: 3916301. This parts seems to have been superseded by 5265270 (shown above)

    Hope this helps

    Air Heaters

    Hi Tony

Thx for the reply. I did finally track down your tip on the “mag switch” thank you for that info.

As far as the Air heaters go, I don’t even have switches as far as I can tell. Assumed they activated with the ignition and had a timer (like a pickup). Assuming that is not the case? May not even beed them here in North West Florida, except maybe on Christmas and New Years. Could mitigate that with a block heater which I know you reccomend year around anyway.

Thoughts on a good way forward?

    Thx!

    Kevin

One is for the starter circuit and the other two are for the air heater grip circuit.. Do you even need / use need the air heater?

They are listed on the web site

    Found them

Obviously, I missed them when I looked before.

Here they are in the Seaboard Store.

Marine Magnetic Switch / Starter Solenoid

Still curious on how many are on each engine, understanding there is only 1 for each starter, but assuming there are other circuits they may contril.

    Thx in advance!

    Kevin
