Have just removed 8061sm fiat aifo out of 27 hydro field jaguar thinking of repowering with rebuilt 6bta 180 hp cpl600 ( spare truck eng not needed anymore) can I marineise ,is the cpl a problem,what hp can be achieved
How are to planning to “marinize” a truck engine.. Properly done, at the very least you need a coolant cooled turbo and exhaust manifold, seawater pumping system and then all needs to be “plumbed right.. If this was a air to air aftercooled engine, then that will present another major issue that needs to be addressed, especially if you are thinking “more HP”..
Post a serial number of the CPL 600 Cummins.
Curious– what exactly is a “27 hydro field jaguar” Got some pictures?
