Noticed soot build up around turbo housing. Took heat shield off today and leak is where the linkage enters the turbo. Is there a fix for this?

    Thanks in advance.

I had 2 x turbos have a crack in between bolt holes. Exactly the same place made me think it was a casting flaw.

    Update:

Spent some time in the ER today. Cleaned everything up and leak is coming from under this cap. On the qsc the mixing elbow and spacer ring need to be removed. I had them off last year so should not be a huge deal. This cap has never been off so concerned with breaking these bolts. I have them soaking in penetrating oil now. Has anyone removed this before and resealed? I have the replacement cap and screws but there is no gasket listed for this seal.

Thanks in advance for any input

    Mike,

Give this thread a read. A couple of options are mentioned.
