On a couple of forums, I have read that on the QSC 8.3, the fuel line running from the engine fuel filter to the injector pump should be inspected/replaced every 2,000 hours.  Subsequent searches on other forums, including SBMs, hasn’t yielded any additional information or confirmation that there is an issue with this component or a need to do such a hard time inspection/replacement of it.

As the 8.3 in my NT 42 is approaching 2000 TT, any insight on the topic would be appreciated. 🙂

    Thanks!<br /><br />

Cummins made the line too short/routed it wrong and it chafes on the fuel filter…..We have seen that at least 6 times over the last 10 yrs or so with 3 in the last year. Just need a good inspection to figure it out.
