I’m purchasing a running takeout QSC rated at 540. It’s a 2008 model running Smartcraft software. Owner is not able to get the harness out of the donor boat as it is clipped up in some inaccessible areas and also glued in one bulkhead. My friend had a QSM 11 of similar vintage and I looked at his harness and got a part number off of it but I want to confirm what harness I should be looking for. I would assume part numbers are different for the different lengths. I only need a short harness, 20’ is plenty. This is the engine to junction box main harness.

Yes that is the one that was used on this motor but it’s unable to be removed from the boat due to fasteners in inaccessible areas. I’m looking for a shorter one. 46648933 is the engine serial number. I do not have it in my possession yet to look for myself

That is the part number of the harness I listed in the reply above.

The harnesses are currently IN STOCK.

Update to part numbers. The gentleman I am buying this run takeout from sent me a picture of the harness part number that’s in the boat. He can’t remove it but this is the part number. Also, this is a longer harness than my application requires as this is a 48’ boat and I only need a harness about 20’ the most.

If the engine you’re needing to source a harness for is of the v1.0 architecture, then the harness you need is below:

Cummins Marine SmartCraft v1.0 Extension Harness

You’ll know if it’s a v1.0 if the engine has a black SIM module near the engine’s ECM.

    Hope that helps…

I’m not trying anything and that wasn’t even close to a helpful answer. I’m simply asking for the part number to the QSC harness from engine to the panel. My friend obviously needs his for his motor, I’m asking for the part number to the harness that I need so if anybody has a QSC with Smartcraft would you be willing to share with me what the part number is for their main harness from engine to junction box. Thank you

QSM 11 = Different Animal as to electronics

Simple & correct answer = NO

Both engines have completely different ECM’s & connections , off & on engine engine wiring, and adaptations for the parent J1929 language to the adaptation of Mercury outboard & gas engine SmartCrap electronics ( done thru a SIM module that coverts a world standard SAE J-1939 output to some “Chinese or worse” Mercury language) ..

Don’t even try it.. You’ll lose..
