I was going to do a voltage drop test on my starter circuit and was wondering what would be the best way to crank the motor over. I have a push button starter bypass tool which i could put across the starter relay. Would this be advisable? Thanks

Thanks Rob, my concern is that i will not get a long enough crank before the engine starts and repeated short starts while i perform positiveĀ  and negative voltage drop tests may not be good for the engine ?Ā

Just start it from the helm as you normally would and get a helper to meter the battery while cranking.
