    Hi All,

Does anyone know what the fitting type/size is on the oil drain hose on a QSB 5.9  – That is the one on the blue hydraulic line that comes out of the sump plug.

The engines are in a Meridian 411.

I am looking to set up an oil change kit and want to buy the female fitting for my change kit so I can just plug in to the existing line.

Photo attached, please ignore the surface rust, it needs an appointment with the wire brush !

    Cheers

    Tim

Remove the rusty Quick disconnect from the end on the hose–That’s usually a 1/2″ NPT male thread on the end of the hose. (could be 3/8″ NPT too) —– Simple to adapt to.

Once you  add what you need, coat it with grease and slide a piece of 1.5″ ID x 4-5″ long  heat-shrink over it  . Usually that protects things very well in a wet bilge
