QSB 5.9 Gear Temp high

Hello Smartcraft vesselview showing s/b ‘Gear Temp’ @ 55 on start up – port around 14 –  firstly I do not know what this means and secondly what part (sensor) would i need to replace it with and where is it and what does gear temp refer to – is it oil temp for gearbox or coolant or something else please  TIA Nick

Solved I think

Part 15 is the temp sensor for transmission – so I just need to locate it now – not sue where guy got schematic from but if anyone recognises it could be useful with indexed part numbers attached

Sorry – Zeus pods with cummins qsb 5.9s – guess not something in your sphere unfortunately for me – was hoping the parts were all Cummins and just the pods mercury !

Nothing in the pictures is a Cummins supplied part that I recognize..   Do you have a ZEUS drive system?  This look very MERCURY-ish

Oil cooler various electrical inputs

Hmm i have tried replying twice to this but doesnt seem to be allowing me 

various electrical connections but not sure if any of these are sending data to smart craft>?

thinking unplug, use some contact cleaner and small brush and see if makes any difference – not sure which input may send temp data?

Most likely this is a Mercury SmartCrap glitch..

You most likely do not even have the sensors–Post good pics of the transmission oil cooler, That will tell the story
