    Star. engine, 5.9 , 370 2016 rpm started swinging up and down at both pilothouse and fly-bridge gauges, than stopped completely ? Engines ran fine otherwise. Engines do not have synchronization throttles Would the alternator be the most likely culprit? Gary

    how about an electronic pick up

    I don’t mean to hijack this thread but I do not have a Magnetic pick up – any chance of a picture of the hookup for an electronic tach sender?

    Have you checked the magnetic pickup at the flywheel housing?
