    You have a totally different drive gear & drive nut on the 6CTA.  I am not sure if the 6CTA drive will work adapting the a Common Rail drive?  It might?……………….

    I have mechanical tach drives on my 6CTAs and was able to find drive parts. Pictures of the QSL engines look like they have a very similar if not identical timing case cover, which is where the OEM mechanical tach drives attached. This forum isn’t letting me post links to the topic thread, but you may be able to find it by searching for ‘1996 6cta mechanical tach drives’.

    I found the drive hub that fits on the injector pump gear nut at mddistributorsstore dot com.
