    Hello everybody.
Sorry to Google for the Bad english.
I have a problem with my starboard engine since I bought the boat in 2018 and now is the right time to take care of it.
the machine runs perfectly, has no smoke, everything is fine, only the number of revolutions does not exceed 1800 revolutions under load. it easily goes up to 1800 rpm, but no further. in port it goes up to 2300 rpm without problems, I have not tried higher. I replaced both fuel filters and cleaned the Racor. It wasn’t very dirty, just like the port machine. the air filter is new and the aftercoolers serviced in 2018 by seaboard way. I think it was slightly oily.
The turbo looked good too, next I want to install a fuel pressure gauges. I will be back on board in 14 days, until then i want to get the necessary material. my question is: where do I put the display on and what thread do I need and how much bar should it display.
The pics are the best, i have today.

The fact that the machine in the port rotates to 2300 rpm excludes errors. Does somebody has any idea ?

I am back and can report.
At first we did hull wash and antifouling.
Then a test cruise. Now the starboard engine did 2.000 rpm under load.
In port he did 2.760 rpm, that shows the strobe. The tach gauge shows 2.700.
In idle the strobe shows 625 rpm.

    1. i didn‘t know at time, how to use a strobe, but it should be easy, if you tell me and no Problem to get a strobe. So i will do this.

Sorry for the bad kommunikation, but i think, i understand you.

    1. i didn‘t know at time, how to use a strobe, but it should be easy, if you tell me and no Problem to get a strobe. So i will do this.

    2. to take picures from the throttle will work too.

I Worte in my last post from the fuel pump, but meaning fuel lift pump.

I am not sure we are communicating well, but see if you can understand what I need at this time to help.. Something is not right..

1)—————I want you to confirm tach accuracy using a strobe at 1800 RPM in neutral at the dock.. Do you know how to do that?

    2) Look at the attached picture.. I want you to take picture of both engines at full throttle at the dock, ENG OFF showing the Bosch throttle lever hard up against the full throttle stop.

Thank you Toni for the fast answer.

1+ 2. the Engine did while testing only 1800 rpm, i thougt is was a easy Issue from the gas circuit linkage.
    3. the no load rpm was the same like Port Engine, i think it is 700 rpm.
    4. i read your tips. I am rigth, the Fuel solenoid works in this case fine?

So maybe it is Fuel pump issue. For this i am thinking about a pressure gauge. Is there a better and easyer way to check it ?

    Low power / RPM concerns

#1——————When you bought the vessel, I would assume you sea trialed it, correct?

#2—————What RPM did it make then?

#3————–Engine at operating temp–what is your no-load RPM in neutral?

#4————–Have you checked to most basic of things? Fuel pressure is way down the list

Read this and start doing it and report back–Stay in sequence.

    Understanding Low Power Troubleshooting

FYI–These engines should go over 2800 RPM “loaded for bear” and do that easy.
