I have a 25 ft v hull boat I’m restoring and I would really like to ditch the outboard motor and put a diesel inboard under the center console but I have no idea about what size motor or transmission as well as prop and rudder sizes I would need. The hull weighs approximately 3000lbs. I was thinking a Cummins 4BTA because of the compact size since it would be under the center console. The hull is literally a blank canvas at the moment so I’m very flexible in which direction I can go with it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Wow, that’s great news Tony!
I have a very talented friend here in OZ who’s doing an extraordinary rebuild on a 28′ Bertram flybridge. These would be a superb fit.
Any idea on an ETA or any other saucy details?

If this is something your really want to do, you have the talent :in-house” to take it on, then hang in there a bit.. Cummins is very close to releasing the new QSB 4.5.. A tad behind do to the “covid thing”.
