When connecting the fuel and oil hoses to the cooler and oil hoses to the transmission should I use RectorSeal 5?

    Thanks.

Thanks Rob. I’ll be careful not to get any grease on the fuel and oil seating surfaces; threads only.

Nothing on flare seating surfaces.Ā  Anti-seize on turbo exhaust flange bolts.Ā  An option for o-rings is Super Lube Silicone O-Ring Grease.Ā Ā

    Grease Summary

    Rob,

Thanks for the response. I looked through the forums and think this is the summary for grease on our engines:

    1. Alco Metalube: Aftercooler assembly and for fastening different metals
    2. Marine grade lithium based wheel bearing grease: O-rings and bolts that run below 200F
    3. RectorSeal Tru-Blu: Threaded pipe connections such as fuel and lubrication tubing.Ā
    4. Hose connections: RectorSeal 5.
    5. Metal surfaces and gaskets: RectorSeal 5
    6. Turbo charger to manifold gasket: High temp silicone

    Did I miss anything?

Not sure where exactly you are looking to use the RS5 but it is usually good to use on any connections running at or under coolant temperature..
