    I just serviced my 6BTA 330 aftercoolers at 5 years from previous servicing.  No pitting, corrosion, calcium, and just very light soot on the air side. Cores pressed out easily. I attribute this to a friendly environment of 3 months per year in salt water, 9 months in fresh lake water, and following the SBMAR protocol since new. Happy Camper.

    Yes, aftercooler servicing is rather simple and straightforward and pays big dividends.  Clearly the 9 months of freshwater life is a big help too.  If you have some photos do post them.
