Freshwater Flush with Salt Off

I hope I didn’t mess up with using Salt Off I ran a freshwater flush through my strainer cap with Salt Off for 5 mins. When I took it off after and pulled the strainer it was FULL of globs of grease. Did I mess something up here? Is Salt Off a no-no? In a little bit of a panic since that has never happened .. but I’ve never used Salt Off. Thanks.

Being honest here..   No clue what this stuff is and that using a product other that fresh water from your hose seems beyond stupid to me to flush your engine..

Show me something “factual” that shows something dissolves NaCl better than fresh water. The MSDS for the product is a total “nothing” unless a colorant is important to you.
