Fleetguard Fs1218 filter housing question

I am going to install a Fs1218 as primary bulk filter before my racor 900 with 10 micron and was wondering what filter housing part number for this filter and should this be mounted same height as inlet to racor or slightly higher, thanks

I  thought as per your helpful article…  Fleetguard FS 1218 – About a 250 GPH flow rate, has a “crud capacity” of about 7 times that of a Racor 1000, and has all the best needed features for use as a high capacity Primary bulk separator.

So does the Fleetguard  Fs1218  filter more crud and water than  the FS19596 ?

Why do you think you need a FS1218 and not a FS19513 or FF5013 ?   

How much fuel do you use per year? Over 10,000 gallons per year?  In a busy  month, over 2000 gallons?
