i have a pair of 6cta8.3 450 diamonds 2004 . I have dry exhaust with a stainless steel exhaust mixer. Boat spent first 10 years of its life in brackish water. My question is does the mixer require any service? Thanks for your advice in advance.

Without some really good pics of what you have, I personally would have no clue if they are inherently safe of not.. Ā  Ā  Tony

So by “dry exhaust” you are referring to dry risers with a showerhead mixer, correct? Ā Likely all is fine but do post some good pics. Ā Are the risers wrapped with removable insulation or are they hardcoated? Ā If insulation is removable, do so for a better inspection.
