Corrected my exhaust issues a couple of seasons ago and I knew the turbos were questionable but I didn’t want to open that can of worms at the time. Fast-forward, I opened the can of worms.  What do you guys think? Any benefit to replacing the turbo or should I bolt it back together and send it? Here’s the boost readings for my 330 6BTA 3psi @ 1500RPM 9psi @ 2000RPM 11psi @ 2200 RPM 14psi @ 2400 RPM 26psi @ 2900RPM Let me know what you guys think Thanks! Vic

Thanks. I’ll get some pictures of the wheel. Exhaust is off the boat. I did make a dry riser that took advantage of as much height as I could and made sure the mixer drained with gravity. Mind you this boat had cummins mixers on it for 20 years which had very little pitch to them.

How about steeping back 12-24 inches and repost the turbine blade/exhaust outlet pic–Need to see more along with your complete exhaust system that attaches to the turbo

Do you shut down at sea, “rock & roll” a lot while fishing/heavy weather,  and heavy with stuff?

Probably just the parallax effect of the camera and you are all good.

I agree, clearance looks excessive but then again the boost numbers didn’t look too bad.

No play in the turbo whatsoever.

The housing corrosion is out in front of the turbine area but I don’t know if it’s the photo or what but the tip clearance looks a tad much.  Is there any radial play?
