Cummins QSB 5.9L 380 engine.  This boat is relatively new to me and I had the aftercooler serviced by a shop not too long after I took possession.  At that time, the mechanic replaced the engine zincs when reinstalling the aftercooler.  He ended up using some type of thread sealant on the threads.

My question is basic, what type of thread sealant can be used if I find that the plugs leak at the specified torque?

    Rectorseal

Hello David. I have used both the yellow (5) and the white (T+2) Rectorseal products. I believe Tony also uses the blue Rectorseal. Any will do you just fine..
