    Hi.

    I have 2 Cummins 6BTA 1989, with Startmotor Delco Remy 28MT.

Now i need to hammer on one of the startmotor to make inn crank/spinn, so guess I need a new one..

Anyone know if 31MT is ok? (sn 61005265) Its also seems to have inplace startrele, so guess the old one can be removed..Ā  Looks like 29MT is the new 28MT…? And 31MT is even bether?Ā

    Regards Richard Meyer, Norway

    31MT

A little update from Norway Just got the 31mt from US, and installed it.It startet so quick that I first thought is was something wrong (was is just start engine running?? But the engine startet like a hot knife in butterĀ  (minus degress and no power on throttle..)So could not be more happier (It was no start rele on the starter.. ButĀ  I reused my own. Its pretty new..)So conlusion is that the Upgrade starter is awesomeĀ

They are premium aftermarket and built to the origial Cummins/Delco standard.. They do us right.

    28MT starter

    Hi Tony,

Are the 28Mt starters you sell for the 6BT new ones from Delco?Ā  Funny, I saw something that said the 28Mt was discontinued.Ā  Thanks in advance.

Not trying to re-invent the engine. Just want a solid and good starter..

Seems like 29MT is new version off 28MT. And 31 is more efficiant.

But maybe safest to buy a new 28MT? šŸ™‚Ā

    Regards Richard

Not sure what you trying to accomplish or do, but the 28MT is what you want..Ā

IMO, don’t try and re-invent this on an engine that has been around since 1983-ish / 10+ million of them later
