I took my stbd gauge out over the winter to look into repair for burnt out backlight and some screen burn.finding out it was unrepairable and the cost to replace I decided to live with it.after reinstall it system test ok but where I use to show numbers such as volts it just shows dashes.i haven’t a manual for the unit and was wondering if there was a reset.only trouble shooting I’ve done so far is to reset plug and make sure wires were secure going into plug.

Corey Ā thanks for the manual info which I downloaded.after reading it I went to boat and left the key on after 60 seconds I got the data link unavailable message.obviously I have power but no input from the data side.two things happened since fall when gauge worked perfectly and I removed it to look into repair of screen.one I removed screen and had home for the winter and two I did aftercoolers heat exchangers and transmission cooler.perhaps I disturbed the plugs from the engine.i have no idea where those plugs may be but was wondering if you may lead me in the right direction.i was thinking of swapping gauges to see if problem follows the gauge. Thx bill

The manual for our unit is very similar to yours and you can download it from the product page:

I wish there was a repair available, but unfortunately there is not…..You have the same issue 100’s of owners of these old displays are now experiencing.. Think of of as a TV built with technology that is over 17 yrs old…………They don’t last forever. The only solution we know of is here:

    SMX ED-X Digital Display (QSM11 / 480CE)
