I have had small bubbles in my coolant expansion tank for the past month this past week they have gotten so bad it is now displacing a significant amount of coolant about a full expansion tanks worth. I have done a coolant compression test and. Coolant compression gas test both indicated that I do not have leaks in the head or combustion gasses in my coolant. Radiator cap is brand new, all heat exchangers were serviced within 200 hours and turbo was replaced at the time as well. When the cap is off of the expansion tank it looks and smells like steam is coming out. No oil in coolant or coolant in oil or white smoke. Engine temp is running at 180 with the 160 thermostat. Bubbles start as soon as engine is turned on from cold and seem to be worse at idle.Ā
