I need to remove the harmonic balancer on my 6BTA and in order to lock up the crank I bought a barring tool.  The problem is, I can’t find the port to use this tool.  I’ve read that it’s behind/below the aftercooler, and I did find a port where I removed the cover and all I found was the smooth surface of the flywheel.  No teeth there so the barring tool won’t work.  I’m I looking in the wrong spot?

You can bar her over via the alternator pulley bolt

Matt. Just above that and towards the edge of the bell housing, you should have a plastic cap you need to pry out. That’s where the barring tool goes in.  The hole is smaller also.

Post another photo showing that entire side of the bell housing front section.
