Aftercooler condensate drain port

Can anyone tell me if the condensate drain port on the B series Aftercooler is NPT or straight thread.  I want to connect a ball valve drain and the ones on this website look like a straight thread with an O-ring.  Mine came with a 1/4″ NPT steel plug and it doesn’t feed into the hole very well.  Trying to figure this out.
