Adding SMX Digital Displays to a Smartcraft V1 installation w/o DieselView

Hello,

I have a 2006 QSB 5.9 425hp twin engines installation with Smartcraft V1 rpm gauges (SC1000) and VDO gauges for all other info (oil pressure, voltage , coolant temp, tanks….). I don’t have Diesel/Systemview.

Can I add 2 SMX digital display kits like this one: https://www.sbmar.com/product/smartcraft-to-smx-digital-display-upgrade-kit/ ?

I’ve read in the description that this is for Diesel/Systemview replacement (only?)

The short answer is yes, our long-term goal is to offer a larger single screen with multi-engine display capabilities… when is the real question… it comes down to sourcing a panel that we feel can hold up in marine conditions reliably and also offer all of the “correct” parameters and features that really matter… still looking.

Do you plan in the future to provide a SMX Digital Display with twin engines monitoring capability like the VesselView?

In the case of a smartcraft v1 with 2 engines installation with a proper smartcraft twin engines jumper harness, it should be possible to monitor the 2 engines from a single display.

The answer is yes, if you have the 6-port junction boxes behind your current dash, our display units plug in there and can be mounted and used along side of what you already have.
