Hello Forum, I recently discovered oil under my engine. I noticed it after a 5 hours of running across 2 days. (none there previously – as I was inspecting engine prior to trip). I believe it is coming from the pan connection. My best guess is that it leaks a tablespoon over an hour (maybe less). Questions:
- Does anyone think it is not the pan interface after seeing my photos?
- Is it safe to retorque the bolts to spec (I believe the spec is 24Nm – can someone confirm)?
- Can I torque a single bolt?
- If not, is there a torque pattern I have to follow (order of the tightening)?
- Can Can I do half the engine from middle if I can’t just torque a single bolt?
